Proactive policing incursion
The Prep students enjoyed a special visit from the local police officers, who spoke to the children about their important role in helping to keep the community safe. Students listened carefully as the officers explained how they help people and work within the community. The children were excited to ask questions and learn more about police work. A highlight of the visit was getting to see the police car up close, where students explored some of the equipment and heard the siren. It was a fun and engaging experience that supported students’ understanding of community helpers.
Open day
It was wonderful to welcome families into the classroom for Open Day and to see students proudly sharing their learning from throughout the term. In the morning, families had the opportunity to explore classroom displays and celebrate the progress and achievements of the students. In the afternoon, students and their families enjoyed participating together in a range of engaging activities, including a STEM challenge, phonics games, and a word hunt. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, collaboration, and support from our school community, making the day a fun and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
