District Cross Country
Last Friday, a team of 60 strong Donvale students headed to Ruffey Lake Park for the District Cross Country event under some beautiful Autumn sunshine!
Our 9 and 10 year olds tackled the 2km track, while our 11, 12 and 13 year olds did the full 3km. It was a great day of running and resilience, and our whole school community is proud of our students, who all tried their best.
A special shout out to Ayana, Julian E, Jackson, Siena, Beth, Kitty, Noah, Olive, Judah, Francis and Max who all finished in the top 12 and have qualified for the Division event on 2 June (Tuesday next week).
Well done!

Jump Rope for Heart is the Heart Foundation’s primary school skipping challenge that helps kids move more, have fun, and raise funds for life-saving research and programs. This year we’ve got an audacious goal to see our student Heart Heroes at Donvale Primary School to log 100 hours of skipping throughout the program!
Register your child online, so they can receive the full benefits of the program and participate in online fundraising, simply follow the link below to get started. www.jumprope.org.au/parents
** Mrs Wilkinson has a Term 2 challenge for the Donvale students ~ any student who can complete 10 Double Unders in a row, by the time thefive week Jump Rope competition ends - she'll personally add $50 into the Donvale Jump Rope Fundraising page. Students have until Friday, 12 June to show her their Double Under attempt. Happy Skipping everyone.
Thank you for supporting the Jump Rope for Heart program!
