June, 2026  -  FACT:  Those who have goals are 10 times more likely to succeed than those without goals

This term is a very busy one as students are focussing not only on their HSC, but also on setting their goals to transition beyond school. Many universities and colleges are opening up for Early Admissions, and UAC is open for preferences. I will include in this newsletter dates and information for these important events.

Our College is incredibly proud of Lara Duffy (Year 12) who was recently announced as the winner of the NSW Training Awards (Southern & South Western Region) in the category of School Based Apprentice & Trainee of the Year. NSW Training Awards celebrate the achievement of exceptional students in Vocational Education & Training. Lara was identified as an outstanding student who is training as a nurse, employed by Kareena Private Hospital. Great work Lara!

This week our Year 11 students will be attending the HSC Careers Expo. This will be a great opportunity for students to visit over 150 exhibitors, including many universities, colleges, private institutions, ADF, NSW Police, Ambulance and Gap year programs. I encourage our students to use this Expo as a beginning to their career exploration.

UAC

I recently spoke with Year 12 students regarding application to university via UAC. Students in Year 12 who are interested in applying to study at university will need to use the UAC portal. This admission process is based on an ATAR, and students can submit up to 5 preferences. Students can also access UAC to submit an EAS application.

UAC - Educational Access Schemes (EAS)

The Educational Access Scheme (EAS) aims to help students who have experienced significant educational disadvantage to receive an offer to university. If you are a current Year 12 student applying for EAS, you’ll need to submit your application and documents by 19 November 2026. Find out more information here:
