Term 3
Outside Play Social Story
To help ensure our playground remains a safe, inclusive and enjoyable space for everyone, students have been introduced to our Outside Play Social Story during the first two weeks of Term 3.
The social story outlines our shared expectations for playtimes and helps students understand how to make positive choices while outside. It includes information about:
- Soccer playtime norms – expectations for fair play, teamwork and including others.
- Gaga Ball – the game rules, as well as the updated roster of designated Gaga Ball days.
- Trading Cards (Pokémon, AFL and other collections) – guidelines for our Swap Meet times and expectations for safe, fair and respectful trading.
- Term 3 Lunch Clubs – a range of lunchtime activities available to students throughout the term.
- Acts of Kindness – encouraging students to show respect, include others and contribute positively to our school community.
We encourage families to take a few minutes to discuss the social story with their child at home. Reinforcing these expectations together helps create a positive playground environment where all students feel safe, included and ready to enjoy their breaks.
