PE

Prep-2
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the students in Prep–2 since my return. During the second half of the term, our focus has been on throwing and catching, with students learning and practising the correct techniques for throwing and catching a variety of objects such as bean bags and balls. It has been wonderful to see their confidence and skills develop as they participated in a range of fun and engaging activities.
Over the last two weeks, I have heard from the classroom teachers that the students have done a fabulous job in the pool during their swimming lessons at Carey Sports Complex. I had the pleasure of watching the Preps and some of the Grade 1 students on Thursday, and I was so proud of their efforts. The students are certainly exhausted, and I think the holidays are coming at the perfect time!
I have managed to secure some funding through Sporting Schools to run a gymnastics clinic next term for the first four weeks. The clinic will be run by Melbourne Tumbling Academy during your child’s regular PE session. I am really looking forward to giving the students the opportunity to develop their gymnastics skills and have some fun along the way!
Wishing all families a happy, safe and relaxing break and look forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready for a terrific term 4!
