Senior Education Improvement Leader

As we reach the conclusion of a busy and successful term, it is a fitting time to reflect on the many positive events that have brought our school community together over recent weeks.

Our recent social event was a fantastic success, with a wonderful atmosphere and strong attendance from students and families. While there was a brief disruption caused by an uninvited visitor from outside the local area who was asked to leave the school grounds, the situation was managed quickly and safely.

Inside the venue, the evening was overwhelmingly positive. Thanks to the efforts of our Student Leadership Council (SLC) and staff, students enjoyed a fun and engaging event, and it was wonderful to see our school community come together to celebrate the end of another term.

This followed the SLC-led Colour Run, which was once again a highlight for many students. Our student leaders should be commended for the enthusiasm, initiative and positivity they consistently bring to our school. Their efforts continue to make a valuable contribution to the culture of our community.

It was also a pleasure to recognise our Attendance Award recipients at this week's assembly. Congratulations to all students who were acknowledged for their commitment to attending school regularly and making the most of every learning opportunity.

Consistent attendance remains one of the most important factors in student success, and it is wonderful to see these efforts recognised and celebrated.

Our Year 9 and 10 students also recently took part in their Outdoor Education bike ride, while our visit to the Lakes Tyers Trust provided valuable opportunities for learning, challenge and connection. These experiences help enrich student learning beyond the classroom and strengthen their understanding of the world around them.

I would like to thank our students, staff and families for their ongoing support and involvement in school life. The success of these events reflects the strength of our school community and the commitment of so many people who work together to create positive opportunities for our students.

On behalf of the school, I wish all families a safe, relaxing and well-deserved holiday break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another successful term.
