Term 3 Author visit – Jack Heath
We were thrilled to welcome author Jack Heath to speak with our Year 7 and 8 students during Book Week!
Jack was an absolute hit, sharing inspiring stories from his writing journey — including how his very first book became a bestseller while he was still a teenager! He also passed on some practical (and easy!) tips to help students boost their own creative writing skills.
A big thank you to Jack for motivating our budding writers!

Book an Adventure!
We have an exciting line-up of activities planned for Book Week, including our popular lunchtime raffles, the Book an Adventure competition, a bookmark art contest, and a collaborative collage featuring the most appealing CBCA-nominated books. Drop by and join the Adventure!
2025 is a milestone year as we celebrate 80 years of Children’s Book Week! For eight decades, CBCA has been dedicated to inspiring young minds to journey through the countless worlds that books offer, encouraging children to set off on adventures through time, lands, and imagination. We look forward to continuing this mission for the next 80 years and beyond!
