Inter-School Primary Athletics Carnivals

On Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th of October, students from Years 3 to 6 represented the College at the annual SEMCPSSA Inter-School Athletics Carnival. 

 

Monday’s events included the 400m, long jump, turbo javelin and shot put, while Tuesday featured the 100m, 200m, relays and team games.

There were plenty of fantastic team and individual performances across both days, with one of the highlights being our victory in the Grand Relay—an exciting race featuring the fastest boy and girl from each year level (Years 3–6). Overall, our team placed 6th, with school points remaining extremely close throughout the carnival.

A special congratulations to Makenzie Sillitto, who was awarded Year 6 Champion Girl!

WA All Schools Championships - Athletics 

From Friday 31st of October to Sunday 2nd of November, several Salvado students proudly represented the College at the WA All Schools Athletics Championships held at the WA Athletics Stadium. This event serves as the qualifying competition for selection in the WA team set to compete at the Australian All Schools Championships in Melbourne later this year.

 

Congratulations to Duku Jansuk (Year 10), Mogga Jansuk (Year 8), Isaac Mingi (Year 8), and Makenzie Sillitto (Year 6) for their fantastic efforts across a range of events. A special mention goes to Makenzie, who finished 1st overall in the U14 Girls 3000m Race Walk, and Duku, who placed 3rd in the U17 Boys 1500m.

 

Well done to all students on their achievements and for representing Salvado Catholic College with pride!
