Cast will be announced this weekend!
Our audition process has been extensive and included many sets of eyes from our ACPS Production team and experts in the musical theatre industry. Casting a show is the most difficult aspect and we on the production panel have watched many hours of auditions, coached students to see what more they can bring and looked at how roles/people relate and bounce off one another.
We are very aware we are working with children’s hopes and dreams and missing out on a desired role may result in some disappointment and sadness. Thank you in advance for sensitively supporting your child in helpful ways about the casting decisions. I’m unbelievably impressed with how our Director Gavin creates such a positive, encouraging environment to explore characters in the ‘workshops’ and how much every child has grown in their confidence, risk taking and overcoming of inhibitions to shine on stage. Can't wait to start rehearsing together as an entire cast!
Grandparents Day 2025
Our Prep, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students did a wonderful job performing their dance to Wonka's 'Pure Imagination' for their Grandparents and Special People last week. 3 short weeks of practise, moving parts and lots of collaboration. I couldn't be prouder of them all, including those who are still working up to performing on stage. You are on your way!
In Class Time...
Christmas has come early as we prepare our Class Items for the Christmas Carols on Thursday 4 December. Students are learning lyrics, collaborating for choreography and giving new things a red hot go! Love the growth mindset and determination to take on some song and dance challenges. The Year 6s are also preparing for their 'music video' to "The Futures So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades" that will be shared at their Graduation too.
