Music Camp 2024

Over 100 student musicians attended the Senior Music Camp for 2024. Senior Choir, Senior Concert Band and Sinfonia spent the two days rehearsing together and just hanging out!

The rehearsal sessions were intensive and allowed the large ensembles to tackle challenging works and had the time to focus on the musical detail. Of course there was still time for the traditional tabloid sports, ably led by former students Alicia Barker, Jarvis Eleveld, Olivia Mansell and Leila Rivet, where students from across the year levels were able to join together in the spirit of healthy competition. In addition, the grumpy judge also made an appearance! Alicia shared in a time of devotion and Mr Chan led the campers in a time of worship. The warm fuzzies were very popular and our Music Captains, Keishi Sasuga and Atlanta Schaeche were a wonderful support for the entire camp.

The results of the hard work put in by students and ensemble directors will be on show at the Senior Ensemble Evening on Thursday 13 June, to be held at Life Ministry Church, commencing at 7.00pm.

Junior Ensemble Evening

The Junior School Ensembles are also rehearsing conscientiously for the highly anticipated Junior Ensemble Evening on Wednesday 26 June, also at Life Ministry Church, commencing at 7.00pm. It is shaping up to be an entertaining evening of music and not to be missed.

VCE Music Concert

The VCE students also displayed their talents in a concert, presented as part of their studies, and a Soiree was also held last week. Click here for the full report by Mr William Van Pinxteren.

Musical Productions

Casting was completed for the Junior School Production of Finding Nemo JR and rehearsals commence this term! Rehearsals for the Senior School Production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are in full swing, and tickets will go on sale very soon.
