Mooroolbark District Cross Country

On Tuesday 14 May, we took 51 Junior School students to the Mooroolbark District Cross Country at Lilydale Lake. These students qualified from the House Cross Country earlier in the term.

Students competed against seven other schools on a fine but chilly day. With the motto Do Your Best, they gave their all as they ran around the lake, including a sprint across the sand to finish the race.

Oxley had a very successful day. Sixteen students finished their race in the top 10 and qualified for the Yarra Division District Cross Country on Tuesday 4 June. At the District event, all competing students completed their race, leaving nothing in the tank.

Division Cross Country

On Tuesday 4 June, we took 15 students to the Division Cross Country at Yarra Glen. Students who finished in the top 12 qualified for Eastern Metro Cross Country on Thursday 13 June. Oxley is proud of all the competing athletes, with almost half of all entries progressing to the Eastern Metro Regional Cross Country on Thursday 13 June.

Please congratulate the students who placed in the top 12.
