Literacy and Numeracy Early Intervention Program

Our selected students have begun participating in regular intervention sessions this term. We are extremely proud of them so far and each student's individual learning goals and progress will be communicated to parents over the next two weeks.

There will be a reduced number of intervention sessions during weeks 7 & 8 as students will be participating in NAPLAN.

The programs are taught using Explicit Direct Instruction, a highly structured, research-based teaching method focused on mastering new concepts. Each session is planned by a Learning Specialist who designs the documented sequence of lessons to support the specific learning needs of participating students. These intervention lessons align with our whole school approach to teaching and learning, incorporating evidence based practices and catering for every child.
