Principal's Message

A very big congratulations to Shannon and her husband Mark on the birth of their little girl Nora!! St Mary’s has sent a bunch of flowers on behalf of the community.

A very warm welcome to Clinton, who has joined our Grade 2 class! We are delighted to have Clinton and his family become part of our school community and look forward to getting to know them.

It is also wonderful to see increasing interest in enrolments at our school. Our community is growing, and we are excited about the opportunities this brings. Please continue to spread the word about our beautiful little school and the wonderful learning experiences we offer. Word of mouth is incredibly powerful, and we thank our families for being our greatest advocates!

Sports Day – What a Fantastic Celebration!

What a wonderful Sports Day we enjoyed! It was fantastic to see our children coming together to celebrate being healthy, active and connected. There was plenty of energy, laughter, encouragement and, most importantly, fun!

Days like these remind us that school is about so much more than what happens inside the classroom. It is about building friendships, developing confidence, encouraging one another and celebrating being part of a community. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. A HUGE THANK YOU TO CLARE FOR ORGANISING THIS DAY AND FAMILIES WHOM ATTENDED.

Connecting with Our Community- when your Faith walks!

This week, our Grade 3–6 children will enjoy lunch at the Castlemaine Community House, with our Prep–2 children to follow.

This is another meaningful opportunity for our children to connect with the wider community, build relationships and experience the importance of giving, belonging and being active members of the community in which we live.

Caring for Our Environment – Our Composting Journey Begins!

Our composting system has officially begun in partnership with YIMBY!

This is an exciting step in our commitment to sustainability and caring for the environment. Through real-life learning experiences, our children are developing an understanding of how small everyday actions can make a big difference.

We look forward to watching this initiative grow and seeing our children take ownership of caring for the land and reducing waste.

Arts Club Is Here!

We are excited to announce that our new Arts Club has launched and will run every Thursday during playtime!

A very special thank you to Livinia and Hollie for bringing this wonderful initiative to life. Providing children with opportunities to explore their creativity, express themselves and connect with others through the arts is such an important part of our school experience.

We cannot wait to see what our budding artists create!

Cricket Season Is Underway!

Our Division Cricket competition has begun, and we wish all our participating students the very best of luck!

We are proud of the way our children represent our school, demonstrating teamwork, determination, sportsmanship and encouragement for one another.

Most importantly, enjoy the experience, have fun and give it your best!

A Final Thought

As we move further into Term 4, it is wonderful to see so many opportunities for our children to learn, grow and connect. From sport and the arts to sustainability and community engagement, these experiences reflect what we value most — developing confident, capable and compassionate young people who understand that learning happens everywhere.

Thank you for continuing to support our school and helping make it such a special place to belong.
