🌬️ Asthma Awareness During Weather Changes
Cold mornings, rainy days, and sudden weather changes can trigger asthma symptoms for some students. Please ensure your child’s asthma plan and medication are up to date with the Health Centre. Students should always bring their puffers/spacers to school if required.
🧥 Winter School Reminders
• Warm jackets are highly recommended
• Spare clothes are a great idea for rainy days ☔
• Spare socks can save the day after wet shoes and puddle jumping!
• Please label all clothing items clearly
🤒 When Should Students Stay Home?
To help prevent the spread of germs around the school community, please keep students home if they have:
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Fever
• Contagious illnesses
• Significant pain or are too unwell to learn
The germs are already sharing enough at school — we don’t need them making more friends! 🦠
🪳 Head Lice Alert – Primary School Families
With the cooler weather and everyone rugged up nice and close together, it seems the tiny “unwanted visitors” have decided school is the place to be! Unfortunately, head lice are currently making their way around our Primary School classes.
Please check your child’s hair regularly, especially behind the ears and at the nape of the neck.
If your child does have head lice:
• Begin treatment as soon as possible
• Remove eggs/nits carefully with a lice comb
• Tie long hair up where possible
• Wash bedding, hats, and hairbrushes
• Please notify the school once treatment has started.
Thank you for helping us keep those pesky little critters under control before they start charging rent! 🤍
Kind regards,
Nurses Jayde, Kristy and Kirsty
