Defence Club Update

What a fantastic couple of weeks we have had in Defence Club!

Our students have enjoyed a range of activities designed to encourage connection, teamwork, leadership, and fun. Students took part in Guinness World Record Challenges, testing their skills, patience and determination while sharing plenty of laughs along the way. It was wonderful to see students supporting one another and celebrating each other's achievements.

Our ever-popular Hot Chocolate Club is still going strong. Students enjoyed a warm hot chocolate topped with marshmallows and whipped cream while spending time with friends and making new connections. We were also excited to welcome several students into leadership roles, helping with preparation, serving drinks and ensuring everyone felt included.

Student Leadership

Over the past two weeks, several students stepped up to assist with Defence Club activities. These students demonstrated outstanding leadership by:

  • Welcoming new students
  • Assisting with club setup and pack-up
  • Helping run activities
  • Supporting younger students
  • Demonstrating positive role-model behaviour.

Students received a Defence Club Leadership Token in recognition of the school values they displayed through their actions. These tokens were awarded for demonstrating:

Respect – showing kindness and consideration to others.

Inspire – encouraging and supporting fellow students.

Excel – taking initiative and striving to do their best.

We are incredibly proud of the leadership shown by our Defence students.

New Connections

It has been wonderful to see students from different year levels building friendships and supporting one another. Defence Club continues to provide a safe and welcoming space where students can connect with peers who understand the unique experiences of Defence family life.

Looking Ahead

As we head into the final week of term, we are planning a fun celebration activity to finish the semester together. Keep an eye out for details through our Defence communication channels.
