Welcome back to the library in 2026 

We have many exciting events planned for our students this year, so we encourage everyone to visit the library for some reading, research and fun!

This year, Year 7 and 8 students will have regular lessons in library where they will have time to borrow a book and some time to read. Please talk to your children about what they are reading and try to support them to read for a set period of time before bed in the evening. Making reading a part of a routine will help them keep reading even when times get busy during their high school journey. Some teachers will be incorporating a set time for silent reading in their classes, so please ensure students are also bringing their reading books to class.

On Monday 14 February it is Library Lovers Day, so please come and visit us for some special treats and share with us the books you love. The week from the 14th-18th of February is also Qld School Libraries Week and we will be starting to run some of our clubs including book clubs, creative writing clubs, game clubs and more.
