Art Club

Remember that Art Club is running during lunchtimes in ART3 on the following days: 

Yr7-10 Art Club day is Wednesday and VCE Art Club is Thursday.

Come along to create some artworks, meet other creative students, and have fun!

We are hoping to run a few competitions this year in Art Club too, so come along and get involved!

Year 8 Art - Wetlands Excursion

Year 8 Art classes have been venturing outside of the classroom to the local wetlands behind the school, making stops along the way to observe the landscape andcomplete a series of structured 'en plein air' outdoor drawings. The work completed forms part of their Landscape Drawing CAT.

Top Arts Excursion

On Monday the 18th March Jack and I, along with the VCE and VM art students visited the National Gallery of Victoria to view the annual Top Arts exhibition at Federation Square. 

Top Arts features some of the best art work produced across Victoria in 2023 Art Creative Practice classes, viewing them is an incredibly inspirational experience for us, as we can take note and inspiration for our own artworks for later this year. We attended a Lecture by the Top Arts Curator and also attended a folio viewing, which gave us an insight into how we can achieve great results in our Art Creative Practice studies this year.

Year 10 Media

Students have recently completed a CAT which explores the idea of changing a Genre from a pre-existing movie, into an entirely new Genre. Students were tasked with planning and executing their photoshoots and editing these using available programs. The results have been a range, varying from mixture of comedies, horror, drama and sci-fi/fantasy.
