Gala Days

Our S.P.O.R.T squads have been working hard during extracurricular periods preparing for upcoming gala days. Thanks to Dawn from Touch Football NSW and Dani from NSW Netball for their expert sessions and providing our students with engaging opportunities.  

Rugby League

Rugby League teams make Semi Finals in NRL Competitions  

Our U14 girls competed in the School Girls trophy. With only 10 players the girls competed in a 13 a side competition.  These girls smashed the competition in their pool to make the semis. Posting some impressive score lines on the day:  

         Game 1 St Joey’s 16- 4 WIN

         Game 2 West Wallsend High 38-0 WIN  

         Game 3 Callaghan College 14-4 WIN

Equestrian

Congratulations to Vanessa V. representing our school in equestrian! I had the pleasure to accompany Vanessa and after five exciting days in Coonabarabran, she returned home with impressive 6th and 1st place finishes—outstanding achievement! Thank you also to Mrs Weir for accompanying Vanessa at this representative event.  

CHS Representatives

Touch Football 

Callum E.  and Reece L. recently competed at the CHS Touch Football Championships as members of the Hunter Open’s team. Congratulations on a great tournament... returning home as WINNERS  

Lawn Bowls

Cooper A. and Henry L. recently competed as a part of the Hunter Lawn Bowls Team at CHS State Championships.  Well done to Cooper, who came away with players, player.
