Knox District Athletics

On Friday the 14th of September 35 students competed at the Knox District Athletic Sports at the Knox track. The students did an amazing job competing against seven other schools. Scoresby came 4th beating Boronia K-12, Fairhills, Bayswater and Sherbrooke.

 

Students who won their events will progress to Zone Level. Students who finished in the top three in their events are as follows:

 

13 years:

Rani Mitri – 2nd long jump and hurdles.

Tyson Gibson – 2nd discus and 3rd shot put and javelin.

Thomas Button – 3rd 200m.

Paige Corvell – 3rd 400m and hurdles.

14 years:

Mason Rimmer – 2nd long jump and 3rd 200m.

Melissa Butler – 3rd javelin.

15 years:

Levi Rigby – 1st 200m and 3rd 400m.

Cole Eerden – 2nd high jump.

16 years:

Alec Anderson – 3rd 800m.

Kyah Earle – 3rd discus.

Matt Sutton – 3rd triple jump.

17 years:

Maddy Beet – 2nd javelin and 3rd triple jump.

Brock Franklin – 2nd discus.

Kaushal Kumar – 2nd javelin.

Sam Myszka – 3rd 800m.

20 years:

Eddy Bernales – 1st javelin.

Bryce Prissmann – 3rd shot put.

Christine Shaw – 1st javelin 1st long jump.

Holly May – 1st shot put and 2nd discus.

Skye Inwood – 1st triple jump, 2nd 100m and 3rd 200m.

 

North Eastern Zone Athletics will be held at the Knox Athletics Track on Friday October 12. Good luck to our representatives in Levi Rigby, Eddy Bernales, Christine Shaw, Holly May and Skye Inwood.
