Tom Santos

Tom Santos started his teaching career at Scoresby Secondary College in 1995 as a Physical Education and Outdoor Education teacher. Prior to teaching he operated a successful Fitness Consultancy Personal Training business for the corporate sector and also one-to-one personal training sessions.

 

Tom holds the following qualifications: Bachelor of Applied Science in Physical Education, Diploma of Education, Diploma in Recreation Leadership, Diploma in Fitness Instruction and Personal Training and Workplace Assessment and Training.

Tom has enjoyed a variety of teaching experiences including lecturing personal training/fitness leadership and anatomy courses at TAFE and University level at recognised institutions such as Holmesglen, Chisholm and University of Melbourne.  Tom has been able to utilise  the breadth of his experiences to lead our  nationally accredited VET Sport and Recreation Program  in Sport and Recreation for 18 years.

 

Throughout his time at Scoresby, Tom has held  a number of leadership roles including Sports Coordinator, Health and Physical Education  Leader, various Year Level Coordinator roles, Assistant Daily Organiser and Acting Leading Teacher.

 

Scoresby feels like home for Tom with the close-knit community of staff and students.
