PJ Day- Friday September 11

On Friday September 11, Miners Rest Primary School will be taking part in a PJ Day to raise funds for 300 Blankets - a Victorian charity who provide the caring warmth of friendship and protective warmth of blankets to people experiencing homelessness.

This year has certainly been a tough one, but it has been even more challenging for our fellow Victorians who do not have a place to call home. By dressing in our PJ's, we hope to raise money so that 300 blankets can continue to volunteer their time and resources to those in need.

The JSC have set up an online fundraising page to collect money for 300 Blankets.

Please click on the link below to donate (no donation is too small).

Did you know:

There are over 105,000 people experiencing homelessness at any one time in Australia. This winter, 22,000 people will experience homelessness in Victoria with 1,100 people sleeping rough on any particular night.

300 Blankets work together with a wide range of support groups and charities to make a significant difference in the lives of the people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Their team of 100% volunteers operate a twice weekly outreach program in the Melbourne CBD and a weekly Soul Kitchen community program in the western suburbs and northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Stay safe!
