Teaching and Learning

Wellbeing Wednesday

Next Wednesday we will acknowledge the importance of wellbeing and focus on our own wellbeing by engaging in a day of tasks specifically developed for all of our students across the school. Our staff, students and families have worked tirelessly to ensure quality experiences for all of our students throughout the term, so next week we will nurture our wellbeing on Wednesday. Tasks will be uploaded to SeeSaw and Showbie as usual with a wellbeing flavour that is sure to appeal to students and families alike.

Student-led Conferences

Conferences will occur from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 15 and this will be a normal day of attendance for onsite learners. All students will be preparing their own input for this conference and our classroom teachers will share their assessment and learning direction for each student as well. Classroom teachers are looking forward to hearing from parents as to their experiences and discoveries during remote learning. These conferences promise to be a positive way to celebrate and conclude the term.

Student Attendance & Submissions

This week is the final week of targeted focus group work for all of our students in the areas of Reading, Writing and Number. These sessions have proven to be invaluable for teachers to explicitly teach students at their point of need and have also allowed for actionable feedback to progress individual student learning. Next week, and in the final week of school, collaborative classroom sessions and individual WebEx meetings will continue with students to support engagement with peers and connections with teachers. We ask for your support in ensuring that your child/ren attend all of these sessions wherever possible.

Onsite Learning

Is your child learning onsite? If so, it is essential that they bring the necessary resources to support effective learning. A fully charged iPad to link them to all of their learning throughout the day and a set of headphones to support WebEx meetings and any other activities requiring audio. We thank all families for supporting students to be prepared and ready for learning at school, ensuring a successful day.
