Principal's Report

Parent Information Session

An information session will be held next Tuesday, September 8 at 5:30 pm, via WebEx for all of our families. This session will include updates from the Department of Education & Training, as well as the provision of current local information relating directly to Miners Rest Primary School. An outline of the curriculum, teaching and learning and the assessment & reporting processes for Term Three will be provided and our plans for returning to onsite learning, including an overview of Term Four events will also be explained. Student and family wellbeing will be addressed, as well as an opportunity for questions. We encourage all families to join us next Tuesday using the following meeting details:

Continuing the Path

Learning onsite and remotely continues to be successful with collaborative classrooms, focus groups and individual meetings being provided for all of our students to connect with their teacher each week. Again, we thank all of our families for their continued commitment to supporting learning at home.

Student-led Conferences

Although learning has looked quite different for all of us during Term Three, we will still have the opportunity to celebrate achievements and plan for Term Four learning at our Student-led Conferences on Tuesday, September 15. Bookings for the conferences are now open through www.schoolinterviews.com.au and all conferences will be online via WebEx. We strongly encourage all families to take the opportunity to make a booking and join with their child and classroom teacher to share in the achievements of the term and look forward to Term Four.

Parking & Road Safety

Please, adhere to parking and road safety rules on the surrounding roads of our school. If you are delivering or collecting your child from school, please park in the designated car parking areas and be modelling, and encouraging, safe and responsible road-crossing behaviour.

School Crossing

The warm and drier weather invites opportunities to walk to school. We have our school crossing supervised every morning and every afternoon to support the safe crossing of the busy highway - please take advantage of this service if you can.

Whole School Assembly

Our school community are warmly invited to attend the assembly this Friday at 2:30 pm.

The details are as follows -
