Thursday Afternoon Touch Football

The inter school competition began last Thursday. All players showed wonderful sportsmanship and played well as a team. Just a reminder that Students are only supervised from 5 minutes before their game so if they are walking down they need to still show appropriate and respectful behaviour. Also if any parents are able to come down and referee a game that would really help as we didn't have many refs for last weeks games.

Please note that teachers are not responsible for supervising students who are not a part of the Touch Competition.

Diocesan Swimming

Congratulations to all students who attended the Diocesan Swimming Carnival in Moree last week. St Mary's had the following students qualify to attend the Polding Carnival in Sydney: Kieran Stewart, Aleesha Stewart, Bella McKay, Chelsea Curry and Grace Pett.

Well done to all students that attended for the first time or broke a personal best.

Finally, thank you to the parent helpers that helped with timing on the day.

Diocesan Winter Trials - Year 6

Schools are invited to send students of a proficient skill level to the Diocesan Winter Trials in Inverell on Friday March 20th 2020. A Diocesan team will be selected in each sport to represent the Armidale Diocese at the Polding Trials in Bathurst on Friday 1st May, 2020.

All teams are Open Primary Teams (11 years League is the exception) and the trials are for Year 6 students. Talented Year 5 students will be considered at the discretion of the convener.
