Grade 3/4 News

School Holiday Reminders:

• Term Two begins on the 20th of April
• Please ensure all winter uniforms are ready for the upcoming cooler months
• Keep up healthy routines where possible, including reading regularly whenever and wherever you can!

Dear Grade 3/4 Families, 

As we reach the end of a busy and rewarding term, we would like to take a moment to celebrate the many achievements of our students across the term. This term has been filled with exciting learning opportunities, from classroom projects and sports events to creative activities and special assemblies. It has been fantastic to see our 3/4 students being awesome!

Marble Run Mania

Our Marble Run Project was a fantastic highlight of the term, showcasing students’ creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. Students were challenged to design and build their marble runs using a variety of materials. They explored important concepts such as gravity and motion, while also developing their collaboration skills. It was wonderful to see students testing, refining, and proudly explaining how their unique designs with features such as tunnels, ramps and loops worked.

Cross Country

Our Whole School Cross Country event was a fantastic success, bringing together students from all year levels for a day filled with school spirit. Students participated with great enthusiasm, demonstrating resilience and perseverance as they completed their races. It was wonderful to see so many students challenging themselves, encouraging their peers, and celebrating each other’s achievements along the way. A big thank you to Mr. Smith who made sure our event ran perfectly, and to the families who came along to cheer and support our students on. We were also excited to spot local Aussie runner Andy Buchanan in the crowd!

Maths Challenge

Well done to our Week 8 Maths Challenge winners - 1/2 Mac ! We look forward to some more awesome challenges next term!
