The Egg-ceptional Egg Drop Challenge

On Friday, July 31st, students put their creativity, problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test during our Egg-ceptional Egg Drop Challenge!
Working with a partner or in a group of three, students planned, designed and built a protective capsule to keep an egg safe when dropped from heights of 1, 2 and 3 metres. It was wonderful to see students collaborating so well, sharing ideas, testing their designs and making improvements along the way. There was plenty of excitement as each capsule was put to the ultimate test. But, the big question, how did your child's egg fare?!
A big thank you to our families for supporting this event by helping students source a variety of recycled and new materials from home. Your generosity and encouragement helped make this hands-on learning experience a fun and successful event for everyone involved.
We look forward to trying more STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) challenges as the year continues.
Thanks,
Miss Coffey
