On Tuesday the 3rd of March, the Grade 5 and 6 students headed off to a number of different schools for our first Summer Sports Gala Day.
Sports Gala Day is a day where a number of different schools compete against each other in many different sports. These sports included cricket, volley bounce, basketball, tee ball and hot shots tennis. The schools we played against included Great Ryrie, Croydon Hills, Good Shepard, Yarra Valley Grammar, Kalinda, Eastwood, Antonio Park and Heathmont East.
It was really fun playing with a mix of students across both Grade 5 and 6, giving us the chance to make new connections. It was also a good opportunity to give a new sports a go and to continue building our skills.
We're looking forward to our next Sports Gala Day which is next Tuesday the 10th of March. We would like to give a really big thank you to the parent helpers who volunteered to come along to make this day possible. Thank you to Mr O'Dwyer for organising our teams and our participation in Sports Gala Day, and to all of our Grade 5 and 6 teachers who organised our training and coached us on the day.
