Health and Physical Education 

Foundation and Year 1

This fortnight, Foundation and Year 1 students have started each Physical Education lesson with fun warm-up games such as Tiggy and Fruit Salad. They have been continuing to learn how to perform a chest pass and control a bouncing ball through engaging games and partner activities, while developing their coordination, confidence, and teamwork skills. 

Year 2

This fortnight, Year 2 students have enjoyed warm-up games such as Tag and Corner Ball before continuing practising their overarm throwing skills with a partner or in small groups. Students have been improving their technique, accuracy, confidence, and teamwork. 

 

Year 3

This fortnight, Year 3 students have been participating in modified basketball games that develop their basketball skills while encouraging active participation, listening, and teamwork. Through fun game-based activities, students have been improving their passing, dribbling, decision-making, and communication skills in a supportive environment. 

 

Year 4This fortnight, Year 4 students have continued to develop their soccer skills through modified games that promote teamwork, communication, and fair play. They have also been learning how to identify and use space effectively when participating in games involving a kick, helping them make better decisions and support their teammates during play.

 

 

Year 5 and 6

Over the past fortnight, our Year 5 and 6 students have been participating in modified basketball activities that encourage teamwork, active participation, and cooperation. Through game-based learning, students have been developing their basketball skills while improving their decision-making, communication, and ability to apply strategies during gameplay.
