Mental Health Motivations

I chose to work at Cowwarr Primary School for a reason. You chose to learn at Cowwarr Primary School for a reason. That reason is why we continue to walk through the gates each day.

At Cowwarr Primary School, everyone is welcomed with open arms. We see every student as unique, valued and capable of achieving their very best. We understand that each child’s journey is different, and that learning, friendships and personal growth all come with challenges along the way.

However, life and learning are not always smooth. Sometimes doubt can creep into our own minds or be influenced by the actions or words of others. There are moments when children and adults, can feel unsure and overwhelmed. Around our school, we refer to these times as “Wobbly Moments.” These moments can happen unexpectedly and can look different for every person. Some students may become quiet and withdrawn, while others may show frustration, sadness or heightened emotions.

What matters most is not that these moments happen, but how we respond to them. With patience and support, wobbly moments can become opportunities for growth and understanding. At Cowwarr Primary School, we work together to help our students feel safe, supported and reminded that they belong here. We encourage our students to talk about their feelings, ask for help when needed and support one another. We remind our students that everyone has challenging days and that needing support is a normal part of life.

At the end of the day, Cowwarr Primary School is much more than a place where learning happens. It is a community where people care for one another, celebrate each other’s successes and support each other. No matter how big the wobble may feel, we want every student to know they are valued and truly belong here.
