Hi all! This week I spent more 1:1 time with Julian, creating more delicious goodies! This time around we decided to challenge ourselves with making donut balls. This required deep frying (using a pot and oil), which we discovered is not my area of expertise... rest in peace to the plastic tea strainer I melted by accident... Whoops! Although this wasn't an ideal outcome, I used this opportunity to remind myself and others that mistakes can happen, and it's ok to own up to mistakes.

While in the classroom, I spent time working with the grade 3, 4, 5 and 6's and helping them write their persuasive pieces on pollution in the ocean. It was amazing to see the in-depth thinking of the students, and seeing their writing come together to create a great piece of work. Maths has become a great strength for our students. Seeing them tackle subtraction equations that require carrying with confidence has been awesome. A specific highlight was seeing Ethan answer part of the subtraction right off the top of his head! The kids seem to have gelled well with our new science teacher Bec, and watching all the students undertake and show a lot of interest in the experiments was super exciting!

Friday afternoons I run domino shop, where students bring the dominos in that they have earnt throughout the week. I sparked some conversations with students about how many they have and why they got them, and how they can earn more. Seeing the students reflect on their own behaviours has been cool to see, and I'm excited to see what changes it brings.
That's all from me, till next bell!
Welcome back for another SKOOP 🤙
I would just like to start off by saying that the literacy work being produced in room 2 is outstanding. I've really enjoyed our book study of ‘fish is fish’ which has taught us the beautiful message that everyone is who they are meant to be. I also had the opportunity to spend some time in room 1 this week. It was really lovely to be back in that senior space and to see how far they have all come. I couldn't be more proud of our wonderful students. ☺️
! NEW TREND ALERT !
It seems Paisley's pretty plaits have started quite a trend! Room 2 took inspiration and had lots of fun having their hair done in the morning. The pretty plaits even spread to some of the Room 1 students and of course mine and Mrs Johns' hair had to be done too !
(credits to Molly for my awesome braid)

Oh and a friendly reminder to scrub up on Monday, WE HAVE SCHOOL PHOTOS!!!!
Hope you all practise showing of those pearly white’s in the mirror, I know I will be :)

Stay tuned for the next skoop 🤙
Hey everyone,
It has been a very fun last few weeks.
I have now started to cook My funky pancakes every second Wednesday. The first batch I did this week were a major fail but we keep improving.
I also cooked up a storm with Julian, cooking up some spaghetti meatballs. Of course they were very yummy!
Lego club has also been very fun especially with all the new Lego we have received. We have been working on our social skills while building all of our fun creations.

Thanks for tuning into Brady's Banter :)
