What a special few weeks it has been at Cowwarr! 

Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to our incredible TEAM for helping me celebrate my 40th birthday. I truly feel so lucky to belong to such a special group of people. Spending such a milestone birthday surrounded by our Cowwarr family made the day incredibly meaningful, and I honestly could not have imagined celebrating it anywhere else.

Our work family is such an important part of life, and I am very grateful for the kindness, laughter, messages and thoughtfulness shown throughout the day. Thank you all for making it such a memorable celebration. 😊

It has also been another wonderful few weeks of learning across the school. I continue to feel so proud watching our students grow, not only academically, but also in confidence, resilience and independence. There is something very special about seeing students feel proud of themselves as learners, and we are seeing so many magnificent moments of personal growth each and every day.

School Photo Day is fast approaching! Time to have the uniforms washed, hair brushed and those big school smiles ready to go! We can’t wait to capture another year of memories at Cowwarr.

🏙️ Year 5/6 Melbourne Cluster Camp

Excitement is definitely building for our upcoming Melbourne Cluster Camp! This will be the final camp experience for our Year 6 students, which always makes it a little extra special. Camps create such wonderful memories for our students and provide opportunities to build independence, confidence and friendships.

There are lots of exciting activities planned, and students will have the chance to explore and experience our amazing city together. More information will be coming home next week. We know this is going to be such a fun and memorable experience for everyone involved!

Every Day Counts at Cowwarr! 

At Cowwarr Primary School, we know that every single day of learning matters. Missing school regularly, even one or two days here and there can quickly impact a child’s learning progress, confidence, friendships and connection to school routines.

Regular attendance is essential for students to achieve their personal best. Important learning happens every day, and it can be difficult for students to “catch up” on missed instruction, discussions and classroom experiences.

We are asking for the support of all families in ensuring students attend school every day unless they are genuinely unwell. Building strong attendance habits now helps set students up for success both at school and in life.

As a school, our attendance rates are currently lower than we would like. Improving attendance is a priority for us, and we need a TEAM approach between home and school to support this.

⏰ Important reminders for families:

• Please ensure all absences are entered onto Compass as soon as possible.
• All student absences require an explanation.

• Students should arrive at school on time each day so they are ready to begin learning with their classmates.

   

We understand that illness, medical needs and unexpected circumstances do arise, and student wellbeing always comes first. However, regular attendance plays a significant role in student achievement, wellbeing and social success at school.
