Hi All

Sometimes it can be hard to explain all there is to Scouts. Lots of people have seen us around, we come out for events from time to time. Some people even ask – Are scouts still around?

And the answer is YES – but you will mostly likely find us out & about somewhere. That’s the point. 

Scouts core activities revolve around Campcraft, Bushcraft & Bushwalking so you will find us out practicing these core skills.

But you might also find us practising other outdoor skills – canoeing & kayaking, abseiling & climbing, cycling, boating, caving, pioneering skills, survival skills.

Most weeks we hold meetings in our halls; each section runs it own set of programs designed for the age of that section but all based around building on the skills they have learned from before eg. these can be from as simple as lighting a match to setting & getting their campfire going to cook over. 

Scouts learn how to cook over various heat sources, clean up after themselves, organise & look after their gear, learn leadership skills, organisational skills, meet heaps of friends from all walks of life and most of all, have a whole heap of fun doing it!
