Regional Swimming Competition
On Friday 22 March, Oxley had 13 students represented in 14 individual events and three relays at the Eastern Metro Regional Swimming Carnival. The timed final format meant that each student competed in a field of 18, with the winner making it through to the State Championships.
A huge congratulations to the Oxley students who stepped up, competed for the first time, improved times from the Divisional trials and for the many personal bests!

Year 3 – 6 Athletics Carnival
A day of healthy competition was enjoyed by students in Years 3 – 6 who participated in the House Athletics Carnival on Tuesday 26 March. Team spirit within each of the three Houses was tangible as they fought for the win, with Tabor Trojans (White House) being the victors on the day, followed by Gideon Warriors (Red House), and Zion Crusaders (Blue House) coming in third.
Students competed valiantly as they flung the discus and shot put, bolted in the sprints, paced themselves through the long-distance races, leapt in the jumps and worked together in the relays.
The coming together of Senior School students (who ran many of the Field Events) with the Junior School students, was a unique highlight of the day. The Senior School students did a stellar job serving their younger counterparts, who look up to them with admiration.
The community feel was further enhanced by the support of many attending parents, guardians, grandparents and friends who cheered our students on. Likewise, the incredible team of staff who went above and beyond to serve the school community throughout the day cannot go unmentioned.
Thank you to all who played a part in the day, no matter how small. Every contribution helped to make the day enjoyable and a great success!
