Year 8 Upcycle Market

Upcycle Market
On Friday the 20th of March, the year 8’s held their Upcycling Market at lunchtime. We had amazing weather and a lot of interested students and staff came to buy our products. We started the project around week 2 of term 1 and we all worked hard to produce good quality products and amazing ideas. Some stands sold bookmarks, flowerpots, jewellery, and even pillows and bags. The purpose of upcycling is to give a new purpose to old and used items, and I have to say that I was impressed by the hard work we all put in this wonderful project. It helped us with our communication skills, and leadership skills and doing creative things was honestly relaxing. We raised a total of $769 that was donated to The Great Barrier Reef Foundation. I cannot wait to see what the future year 8’s will create.
