5/6 Sport

Season 1 of the 5/6 Sport Program is up and running, with all Year 5 and Year 6 students participating in a variety of on- and off-campus activities during Periods 1 and 2 every Friday morning.

A big thank you to our dedicated staff and coaches who have been training students in preparation for their scheduled home and away games. Your commitment and support are truly appreciated.

All students are to be commended for the exemplary behaviour and outstanding sportsmanship they have demonstrated throughout the 5/6 Sport Program so far. We are very proud of the way they are representing our school.

Overnewton Golf

The Senior School Golf Program has recently commenced as part of the ACS program, providing students with the opportunity to develop their skills or learn a new game.

Throughout the program, students have been learning and refining the fundamentals of both short and long iron play, along with developing their putting technique. The structured sessions have allowed participants to build confidence while focusing on correct technique and consistency.

A highlight of the program has been the use of golf simulators. The simulators have provided valuable feedback on swing mechanics and ball flight, while also adding an engaging and interactive element to training.

Students are making pleasing progress and will conclude the program by taking their skills onto the course to play nine holes.

Tennis Program

It was great to see many students at the first session for the Tennis program last week. It will be back on again this Friday morning at 8am!

This program is open to students of all playing abilities, whether you are picking up a racquet for the first time or already have match experience. It is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills, improve fitness, and enjoy the game in a fun and supportive environment.

All equipment is provided — just bring your enthusiasm!

We encourage all interested students to come along and give it a try. We look forward to seeing plenty of students on the courts to start the day in a positive and active way. 🎾
