As we have settled into the routines of Term Four, it has been pleasing to see students representing St George’s values both inside the school, and out and about in the city. This week I have received positive feedback about how our students conduct themselves on public transport, interacting with the public with courtesy and respect. This type of commendation is fantastic to hear!
As our Term Four Co-Curricular program is now in full swing, it is timely to remind students that, once signed up for a Co-Curricular activity, it is important to attend. From 3.30pm, students remaining in the school building must be under the direct supervision of a staff member. This means attending a Co-Curricular activity or an organised meeting with a teacher. Any students who need to remain at school are able to complete Homework Help in the Library until 4.30pm.
There are two exciting events coming up on our school calendar, so please make a note to save the date. Firstly, in 2023 we are excited to be offering for the first time a Lessons and Carols service at St George’s Cathedral on Monday 4 December at 6.30pm. St George’s families are encouraged to come along to embrace the festive spirit, sing carols and reflect on the meaning of this important time of year. More details about this event are to come. We also have our 2023 Presentation Evening on Wednesday 6 December commencing at 6.00pm at St George’s Cathedral. This is a compulsory event for all students in Year 7 to 11.
