St John's Ambulance Volunteers
Volunteers have been the lifeblood of St John Ambulance Victoria since 1883. For well over one hundred years our Volunteers have been saving lives and delivering care and compassion to those in sickness, suffering and distress throughout Victoria.
We are currently looking for community minded individuals who want to support to their community - at local events, festivals and in emergencies.

LIT Festival
Wyndham City’s free light festival, LIT will make its spectacular return to Werribee on Thursday – Sunday nights from 27 March to 13 April, with an all-new program of incredible light installations to experience.
Dates: Thursday – Sunday, 27 March to 13 April (Closed Mondays and Tuesdays)
Sensory Friendly Nights: Wednesday 2 and 9 April
Time: 7pm – 11pm
Location: Wyndham Park, Werribee City Centre
Cost: A free Wyndham City event – no bookings required.
As the sun goes down, Wyndham Park will be transformed into a glowing, dreamlike canvas, filled with giant iridescent bubbles and towering wildflowers, glowing animal sculptures, fantastical trees, projections and more.
This year LIT will coincide with the first week of the school holidays and opening hours will be extended, with an earlier start time of 7pm. Daylight savings ends on Sunday 5 April.
For the best viewing experience, it is recommended to come after dark.
Put LIT on your to-do-list this Autumn and make a night of it with dinner in Werribee City Centre with restaurants, bars and takeaway options just a short stroll away.

Teen Chess Simul - Julia Gillard Library Tarneit - School Holiday Session
Come along and challenge Ronald Enano, Chess Champion and expert, in our 1 v 12 simultaneous chess exhibition!
This event is for young people ages 11 - 16.
Each participant will receive a 'gift bag' and the best player on the day will be chosen by Ronald and presented the 'Best in Play' award.
Due to the limited number of spots available, this event is open to young people who live, work, study or socialise in Wyndham.

FUSE Youth Leadership Program

intertwine's FUSE Youth Leadership Program is a space for diverse young people to meet, make friends, work on a project together and have fun!
The program is aimed at young people aged 15-22 who come from diverse backgrounds and have experienced different challenges. It’s all about sparking positive change, building resilience, and empowering participants to take charge of their futures. The best part? It's totally free! FUSE helps build confidence, gain new skills, and boosts mental health while creating a more inclusive and supportive community.
At the end of the program, participants will be able to create and implement a mini project together.
Eligibility
- For ages 15 - 22 years old
- Have a connection to the Maribyrnong area (live, work, play, study)
- We welcome young people who have diverse lived experience
No sessions on public holidays or during school holidays.
This project is supported through the Maribyrnong City Council's Community Grants Program
