Hey Apollo House!
Term 1 has flown by, and what an incredible start to the year it has been! We couldn’t be prouder of the way our house has come together, showing passion, energy, and true Apollo spirit.
A massive highlight of the term was winning House Spirit at both the Swimming and Athletics Carnivals! Seeing the house come together, quickly learning and performing the new chant with so much energy was amazing. The pride and energy from every single one of you made all the difference—let’s keep that momentum going!
Another huge win for Apollo was Senior House Volleyball! Our team dominated with skill, energy, and teamwork, fighting hard for every point. The support from the sidelines was just as strong, and together, we brought home the win. Proud of you all!
Now, it’s time to focus on Chorals! This is a major event for our house, and we need everyone to put in the effort. Please make sure you're practicing the songs:

Chorals is just around the corner, that means it's time to perform everything we’ve practiced! Everyone in the house has put in a lot of effort for the day, so let's make sure that in this final stretch, we are ready to win! By now, everyone should have memorised our Chorals songs, ‘Good Time’ and ‘Beautiful Things’ (if you haven’t, lyrics are on the instagram page). If we want to win, we better know the lyrics, and that can only happen if each of us pulls our weight, so let's win this together. When we sing together as one, we create something powerful, so let’s make sure we’re all prepared and ready to bring the energy!

We also want to remind you that Active April has already started, so make sure you log in your hours for Blackwood with the link on compass. Every small thing can be tracked and helps out the whole house, whether you walk for 5 minutes or run for 50 minutes, exercise is exercise!

Athletics… what can we say 🥱You guys never stop putting in the effort whether that be running till you couldn’t walk, cheering your heart out or the amazing banner made by our talented Year 9s and 10s (Khadijah, Evin, Jacinta, Johanna, Joelynn, Janelle, Jennifer and Hanna) Despite coming 4th in house spirit, we couldn’t be prouder of the dedication and pride you have shown for the house. Now let’s keep that up for Chorals!!!

2025 has definitely started off with a bang, with Athletics, the Swimming carnival and now Term 1 all having gone by. With the great enthusiasm displayed in these events, on behalf of the leadership team, we are all so proud of everyone’s efforts.
During athletics carnival, not only was there a display of great sportsmanship participation, but also the enthusiasm and the Rothwell spirit really shining with the griffin’s might. With more house events coming up, let's carry this momentum into Chorals and Active April! It's time to lock in and start training for your winter arc 🐺❄️🥶. Whether it's walking, running, or playing on the monkey bars or swings, be sure to log in all your active hours and learn the lyrics to the following songs over the holidays:
