• Thursday 5th November: Grade 2 Sleepover at Discovery Centre Bendigo

What we have been up to...

Upcoming Learning  

Literacy 

During Weeks 3 and 4, we will be reading 'Ella and the Ocean' and 'When the Waterhole Dried up'. For writing, we will be working on recounts and persuasive texts.

Mathematics 

Next week, we will begin our unit on Fractions.  Students will learning to identify halves, quarters and eighths and investigate how these fractions are used in our everyday lives.

Topic: During Topic sessions students will be sharpening their design skills. They will design a new take on a chair and then combine two existing objects to help solve a problem.

In Respectful Relationships, students will focus on the size of different problems they might encounter and will participate in a range of games and activities which encourage problem solving skills and co-operation.

Be Awesome Day 2026 - Repeat Notice

Friday 30th October will be our annual ‘Be Awesome Day’! This year, our awesome kids will be running a ‘Show Day’ as part of our celebrations and we welcome you to join in the fun! To make our day as awesome and fun as possible, we will need lots of help from our wonderful parent community. 

We would love donations of some of the following items. (You don’t need to donate to your child’s class necessarily, you’re welcome to donate to any of the classes listed below).

• 1/2 Edwards -Zooper Doopers
• 1/2 Rodda - No donations required
• 1/2 Gamble/Ingram - Donations of full-size chocolate bars and blocks of chocolate for our 'Lob-a-Choc' stall
• 1/2 Floyd - Prizes for 'Lucky Ducks', such as small lollies, small multipack chocolates, larger chocolates, small fidgets
• 1/2 McClellan- Materials for making bracelets such as 6mm plastic beads in a range of colours or alphabet and number beads, elastic jewellery cord, small snap lock bags
