Key Dates for 3/4 students and families

• (Week 3 ) - 23rd October - Grandparents Day 
• (Week 4 ) - 28th October - Bendigo Cup Public Holiday
• (Week 4) - 30th October - Be Awesome Day
• (Week 8) - 23-27th November - Swimming Program

Reminders

Friday 30th October is our annual ‘Be Awesome Day’! The 3/4's would love donations of some of the following items:

• Individually wrapped lollies, chocolates and or multipacks 
• Blocks of chocolate (x6)
• Hair Spray/stencils for hairspray

Home Reading - We continue to encourage students to enjoy regular home reading and bring their Green Reading Diary back to school each week, showcasing their wonderful reading habits. 

What we have been up to  

Upcoming Learning

Over the next fortnight we will:  

• Literacy: Explore mentor texts to discover how authors use persuasive techniques and language to engage their readers. We will then use these ideas to have fun creating persuasive pieces to ‘sell the unsellable’!
• Mathematics: Build on our understanding of number and place value through individualised learning tasks and activities focused on number operations.
• Respectful Relationships: Develop our problem-solving skills and explore strategies to help us work through challenges respectfully and positively.
• Topic: Deepen our understanding of democracy, government and the law, while exploring how we can participate in and contribute to our local community.
