YEAR 8 CAMP REPORT

Year 8 Camp (8D & 8E) - Portland/Cape Bridgewater

Our Year 8 students from classes 8D & 8E headed to Cape Bridgewater this week for an exciting four-day coastal camp, filled with adventure, new experiences and plenty of memorable moments!

After arriving, students spent the first evening settling into camp and familiarising themselves with their surroundings before preparing for the action-packed days ahead.

Day two was full of adventure, with students taking part in canoeing, caving and sandboarding. There were plenty of opportunities to challenge themselves, try something new and support one another along the way. Evenings brought their own entertainment, with Mr Ryan and Ken’s computer games, dance parties and TikTok challenges proving to be some of the highlights!

Day three saw students take to the water for surfing lessons before heading out on a hike along Cape Bridgewater. The hike offered some spectacular coastal scenery, with the added bonus of spotting seals along the way!

A huge thank you to Portland Bay Lodge, Go Surf, SouthWest Adventures and Moore’s Bus Lines for their hospitality, support and contribution to making the camp such a fantastic experience for our students.

We would also like to extend a big thank you to Mr McDonald, Mrs Demaria, Mrs Venter, Mr Ryan and Kylie for their time, care and support throughout the camp.

Our Year 8 camp continues next month, with 8A, 8B and 8C heading to the coast from Tuesday 10 November to Friday 13 November. We look forward to seeing the next group of students enjoy their own memorable coastal adventure!
