Andrew Chinn Incursion

Last Tuesday we were fortunate enough to have Andrew Chinn give SFX a visit, all the students were so excited. The grade 3-6's had a session with Andrew where they learnt some dance moves to one of his songs. He was very engaging and really knew how to capture the students' attention, getting everyone involved regardless of which class he was focusing on. We thank Andrew very much for giving up his time to come and teach our class and perform a concernt at the end of the day.

Adam Wallace Incursion

We have been very lucky to have two incursions within 2 weeks. This past Tuesday, we had Adam Wallace, a well renowned Australian Author, come and launch his book 'Hatman!'. He discussed aspects of his book, including what his inspiration was and how the book is chapter book, graphic novel and singalong, all at the same time. This book is nothing like I have ever seen before. The students got to learn how to draw in a simplified manner, that is also very effective.
