A Welcome Return

James Sherman (svc 2002-05) coached Glenorchy Knights from 2019-2024. In 2024 his team won the League premiership and the Statewide Knockout Cup (the Lakoseljac Cup) and he was named Tasmanian ‘Coach of the Year’. At the end of that season, he announced his resignation from the club with his intention being to seek a coaching position on the mainland or perhaps overseas. 

Recently, it was announced that James has returned and has signed on again with Glenorchy Knights as head coach and technical director in 2026.
