Acknowledging His Principalship and SVC Association

After racing karts in Australia, Alex left for Europe at the age of fifteen in 2015 in the pursuit of his dream to race in Formula 1. He climbed the ladder of single seater racing with minimal funding and lots of sacrifices. He reached Formula 3 and competed with drivers like Oscar Piastri, Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson who are all currently racing in Formula 1. Highlights of Alex's career were winning at Monaco and a number of podiums in Formula 3.
He received numerous offers from teams to move into Formula 2 but the multi-million dollar budgets required were out of reach for Alex.
Alex returned to Tasmania at the end of 2023 and restarted his life back at home. He has thrown himself into studying at UTAS, where his many years of experience travelling and living overseas have encouraged him to study international relations and politics.
As far as motorsport is concerned, he still occasionally races for Adelaide-based Team BRM in the GT World Challenge Australia Championship (https://www.gt-world-challenge-australia.com/) where he and teammate Mark Rosser race an Audi R8 GT3. Together, they have enjoyed successes at tracks like Bathurst and Queensland Raceway.
Despite Alex not having achieved his motorsport objectives for reasons beyond his control he is loving being back at home and tackling new challenges. The many years of pursuing a professional sports career at a very young age have given him a solid foundation on which to meet those challenges head-on.
