A Stella Season in the UK

Opening bat Caleb Jewell (svc 2009-2013) has signed a deal to return to Derbyshire for the 2026 season after a 2025 stellar season with the English county cricket club.
The Australian has made an impressive start after initially committing to the club as its overseas import for 2025.
And the club have moved quickly to retain the 28 year-old Tasmanian's services for 2026.
Jewell is Derbyshire's second-highest run scorer in County Championship Division Two with 821 at an average of 54.73, with three centuries, including a career-best 232 against Kent in May, and five 50s.
He was also an ever-present in the group stage of the T20 Blast, contributing 359 runs for the Falcons, a total exceeded by only Aneurin Donald and Wayne Madsen.
Jewell said: "I've loved my time with Derbyshire so far and I'm really happy to have signed for next season already."
Derbyshire's Head of Cricket, (and former Australian coach), Mickey Arthur, added: "Caleb has performed brilliantly in the first half of the season, despite adapting to new conditions, and we were keen to get a deal done quickly.
"As well as his stellar performances, Caleb has also settled into our dressing room really well. He brings real grit and determination to our ranks, the exact qualities you want from an overseas signing."
Caleb will return home before the season ends as Cricket Australia has introduced a statutory rule confirming that State-contracted players must return in time for the start of the Australian domestic season, meaning several overseas players currently featuring in county cricket will be departing early.
