Welcome back to all students, staff and families after the term three break. 

 

OVA wishes those students completing their studies in Year 12 all the best for the coming months through the final phase of their schooling and exams. The link with the College will be maintained by the OVA and it is important that we have your preferred contact details.

 

The OVA, the College and your parents/carers are proud of everything you have achieved over your years at the College.

Development of Alumni Database and OVA membership

Because we feel it is important that you are able maintain your connection with the school the OVA has worked with the College to commence the uploading of records to the newly acquired database. Extensive preparation works have been completed by the Community and Development Officer, Enzo Botte along with College staff to enable this project to be commenced.

 

It is intended that the Alumni database will provide a record of all students that have attended the College over its history and separately identify all Old Virgilian members. This is a significant project of the College that OVA is pleased to support.

 

As previously advised, once it is nearing completion (expected December 2025) OVA will seek to engage with its members as part of a process of ensuring all past students are included in the database. 

 

This is both a significant piece of work and a commitment which will yield improved communication across the St Virgil's community.

Important Upcoming Diary Events

  1. Friday 7 November 2025 - OVA Golf Day

    A fantastic annual event once again organised by Michael Harvey on behalf of the OVA. I would encourage all who wish to have a day on the course to register ASAP.

  2. Saturday 29 November 2025 – Annual dinner Hobart – members and partners – Athenaeum Club - $90 per head and numbers limited 

 

Your committee has decided that the Melbourne and Sydney reunions will be held early in the New Year as timings were not proving convenient for members before Christmas. We will lock these dates and venues in shortly.
