Student Inspired by Ride for Education Speaker, Muzafar Ali
Last Thursday night, our Student Representative Council (SRC) members Abbi, Olivia, and Joy had the opportunity to attend a community dinner hosted by the Dunkeld Refugee and Asylum Seeker (DRASS) Group. The event featured a powerful presentation by Muzafar Ali, a former Afghan refugee, documentary photographer, and passionate advocate for refugee children in Indonesia and girls currently denied education in Afghanistan.
Muzafar shared his moving story and the mission behind his initiative Ride for Education, highlighting the transformative power of education and the importance of small acts of kindness. His message was clear—every action, no matter how small, contributes to a larger ripple effect of hope, opportunity, and change.
Our students left the evening deeply inspired, reminded of the privileges we often take for granted and the responsibility we all have to contribute to a more just and compassionate world.
