Schools Reconciliation Walk

We proudly took part in the 2025 Schools Reconciliation Walk, a public show of unity between schools across the Southern Grampians, the Windamara Corporation, and the broader Southern Grampians community organisations on Tuesday 27th May 2025.

This event was established to foster a more united and respectful community, with the expectation that it will continue in years to come, following future Reconciliation themes. It was planned that a host school will take the lead each year to plan the event and co-ordinate with other schools. The inaugural host for this event was Baimbridge College.

Taking place during Reconciliation Week, school representatives assembled at Gray Street Primary School and walked together to a Council-hosted Morning Tea at Melville Oval.

The walk symbolised our shared commitment to reconciliation, respect, and a more united future.

The 2025 theme was “Bridging Now to Next” and each participating school prepared a one-sentence personal Acknowledgement reflecting this theme, to be read aloud on the day at the Morning Tea with the broader community.
