Head Start have a number of School-Based opportunities available if you are interested in:

• Cert III in Early Childhood Education & Care
• Cert lll in Rood Plumbing

ADF Excursion

On March 8th five Gisborne Secondary College students along with other schools in the area, attended the Proofing station at Monegeetta as part of International Women’s Day STEM Careers in the ADF. 

These young women listened to two motivational speakers and were treated to two activities set up by Australian defence. Testing of equipment in the big shed and testing of Defence vehicles. The girls were able to climb around vehicles used by the ADF and were able to ask lots of questions on the function and purpose of each vehicle. They got to examine and test equipment such as binoculars, headsets, 3D imaging, infrared equipment and force in motion. 

There are many pathways to employment and further education through the ADF. Australia Defence do not actively participate in war but work in a defence and humanitarian roles.  If you are interested, please contact ADF Careers - About the ADF

Head Start apprentice

Meet Archer, who is a part of the Head Start apprenticeship and Traineeship Program and has been completing a school-based apprenticeship since the commencement of 2024. Archer is a valued part of the team at ARTICKULATE.
