Year 7 Geography excursions

During weeks 7 and 8 our Year 7 students headed off to Brighton and Warrandyte to finish off their units on Liveability.

A big thank you to our humanities teachers for organising this great learning opportunity, and to all the staff who headed out for the day to support our students.

And a special mention to those who had to tackle the big hill at Warrandyte! 

From all reports it was a great day of learning, exploring and seeing the concepts from the classroom come to life.

Next term we do have an excursion to the local bowls club planned for our Year 7 students.

GPA Reports and Parent/Teacher/ Student Conferences

Thank you to the families that attended Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences and reviewed student results from the most recent GPA reporting cycle. Working together to improve student outcomes is so important. 

We've had recent celebrations for the students who have the highest GPA's and also students who have shown the most growth. 

The teams are also working with those that need to show improvement in their next GPA's. We have one more opportunity to show growth in that space with a term 4 GPA cycle. 

I have it on good authority that there is a fun excursion being planned for those that achieve the highest GPA for Term 4.

Throughout the term there are plenty of sport days for teams that have won through to the next round, we wish them all the best!
